Wood Flooring Installation

Hardwood floors can last for many years which makes them so unique and elegant. That is why proper and good made installation plays so important role. We will try to point out some important rules and recommendations that you need to follow:

-  Wood flooring is a natural product that is way it is almost impossible to avoid differences in colours and textures. When purchasing hardwood floors you must consider a cutting allowance equal to at least 5% of the total area which will be covered in hardwood floor.

-  Hardwood floors are manufactured by the highest quality standards. The quality of every flooring plank is carefully controlled at every stage of the production cycle. However, final quality check before the flooring plank is installed is still the responsibility of the purchaser. Once installed, a flooring plank is considered as accepted by the owner even if the owner was not present on the job site at the time of installation.

Nail Down

Secret nails are with a wood flooring nailer and mallet to attach the flooring to the subfloor.

Floating Floor

This is when a thin underlay is placed between the wood flooring and the subfloor. A recommended wood glue is then applied into the 'tongue & groove' of each of the planks and the timbers are fitted together.

Glue Down

Engineered wood floors and parquets can be glued down.

This is when you spread the recommended glue all over the subfloor and lay the flooring into the glue.
